Avraham Sommer
I am a philosopher and a scholar of early modern philosophy. My reserach focuses primarily on Leibniz, but I have interests in other figures as well, including Hutcheson, Hume, and Reid. In my research and teaching, I try to display the relevance of the history of philosophy to first-order philosophical inquiry.
I am also interested in formal logic, philosophy of language, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion, especially Jewish philosophy.
I am currently a doctoral candidate at Rutgers University.
